Yes they did in north alabama.

Yeah... I see several things wrong with it.  For one thing... what's up with those pockets of 10"+ in Middle TN?... pretty sure there weren't any accumulations anywhere near that high in the Christmas storm in this area.  Plus... it isn't showing anything in the part of Mississippi I was in on Christmas Day... where nearly 2 inches fell.  What is it based on?

I guess its just a error in accumulation placement, those things are really tough to pinpoint in a reanalysis.

It takes into account everything including NW flow/upslope after the storm has done slipped off to the NE and I think its based on NOHRSC National Snow Analyses data. That spot of 10-20 in southern middle TN does look suspect.

The blue areas are 10"-20" according to the legend. ::rofl::

Yeah, sorry that was a typo on my part. I imagine 10.01 inches would qualify for that but still, that one spot cannot be right I wouldnt think.

And also where I was in Lafayette County, MS on Christmas morning, we had nearly 2 inches... where nothing is shown on that map.

Sounds like some tweaking is needed.
